Professional Profile.
George K. Piper, AMS has been
involved in the marine industry since 1985. Upon earning his BSISE
in Industrial/Systems Engineering from Ohio University, he began
working on boats primarily as a mechanic on small diesel and
gasoline engines. His experiences and expertise evolved into boat
building and construction on several sailing multihulls, the largest
is a 48 foot day charter catamaran of glass composite. He has also
used his sklills by surveying and consulting for "Ship Shape TV" on
many aspects of proper glass and electrical repair.
In 1999 George graduated Alpha Beta Kappa from Chapman School of
Seamanship, as a professionally accredited Yacht and Small Craft
Surveyor. He is currently a member of the Society of Marine
Surveyors, AMS #558, American Boat and Yacht Council, SNAME and
Boat/US Technical Information Exchange.
With this professional training and expertise, George to date has
surveyed numerous yachts and small craft from 20. |
